Create XFM Solid
This tool will create a Smart Solid from an XFM feature collection. The features must previously have been promoted to XFM features using the promote tool for that feature. The polygons that compose the feature must enclose a complete volume. On successful completion a message will be displayed showing the number of solids created. Multiple solids can be created provided each feature instance encloses a complete volume.
If Produce Only Closed Volume is unchecked, then Smart Surfaces will be created. However, the surface editing options are more limited. There is no option to draw on the face or surface of the object and Boolean operations are limited.
Note: When a solid is created from XFM features, the symbology takes on the color of the polygon line, not the polygon fill. Solid elements do not have a separate fill color symbology. When the solid is converted back to XFM polygons, the correct fill color will be restored according to the symbology defined for the feature.
